EPA to unleash $7B for low-income solar projects

“EPA is expected to announce the recipients of a $7 billion climate program on Monday that aims to lower energy costs and reduce pollution in poor communities across the country by installing solar power systems on homes. Three people with firsthand knowledge of the Biden administration’s plans told E&E News that EPA will release details about the states, cities and tribes that have been selected to receive funding through the so-called Solar for All grant competition. All three spoke on condition of anonymity because they weren’t authorized to talk about the administration’s plans.”
