Education, jobs, housing keys to reducing poverty

There is a crisis in Cincinnati. According to the 2017 Ohio Poverty Report, over 30 percent of Cincinnatians live in poverty. Poverty transcends all political, religious and racial boundaries. We as a community must do something about this. It’s our public officials who can help address this issue in a serious manner. It is for this reason that I am candidate for City Council. I grew up on Derrick Turnbow Avenue (formerly Armory) in West End. Had I not had a mother who cares, a selfless mom who wanted the best for her children, I would not be standing here today. It’s likely that you would be supporting me through the taxes you pay, the contributions you give and, likely, without appreciation.”
