Community Health Alliance cuts dental care services for low-income adults

“Community Health Alliance, a non-profit health center, is making budget cuts to their dental department that will affect hundreds of local patients.As a federally and state-funded health center, Community Health Alliance helps low-income residents find affordable health care. They treat patients out of six facilities in the Sparks and Reno area.However, managing costs can be a challenge for a non-profit medical facility that handles 29,000 patients every year. Because Medicaid doesn’t cover comprehensive dental care, many patients struggled to keep up with payments”
