Climate directly affecting food costs

“2022 was one of the driest years on record for Texas, according to the U.S. Drought Monitor, showing close to 49% of Texas was still in a drought towards the end of December. The inconsistent climate in the past year has put a strain on food producers; a recent reporter from the Texas Department of Agriculture says these factors are making it more difficult for Texans to access and afford food.”
