Class action lawsuit alleges Omaha Housing Authority denied due process to low-income residents

“A class action lawsuit has been filed against the Omaha Housing Authority, alleging low-income residents were denied due process due to unlawful actions and omissions. According to the lawsuit, the complaint said OHA hid information about a hardship exemption from tenants that would’ve waived their $50 rent minimums and even demanded late fees and filed eviction proceedings against those tenants when they could not pay.”
