A Call for Increased Federal Investment in Housing
A new report from the Center for American Progress calls for the federal government to contribute more aggressively to the supply of affordable housing in America, with the goal of producing 1 million homes over the next five years. The “Homes for All” program would include federally funded construction of affordable rental properties with access to public transit, broadband internet, and strong job markets.
