April 29 Forum – Closing the Racial Wealth Gap to Build an Inclusive Economy

Recent events in New York, Baltimore, Flint, and other cities have reminded Americans of the deep inequities and structural barriers facing communities of color. The Asset Building Policy Network will host a Capitol Hill policy forum on addressing the racial wealth gap and boosting financial security in communities of color. Speakers include Rep. Judy Chu (D-CA); Cristopher M. Brown, director for financial security at PolicyLink; Joe Valenti, director of consumer finance at the Center for American Progress; Marla Bilonick, executive director of the Latino Economic Development Center; Rob Randhava, senior counsel at the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights; Sabrina Terry, project manager at the National Council of La Raza; and Seema Agnani, director of policy and civic engagement at the National Coalition for Asian Pacific American Community Development.
