April 17 Forum – 50 Years Later: Black America Since MLK
To mark the 50th anniversary of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s assassination, the Brookings Institution will hold a screening of the documentary “Black America Since MLK: And Still I Rise,” and a discussion of King’s legacy on civil rights and poverty. Speakers include Henry Louis Gates, Jr., professor at Harvard University; Marc Morial, president and CEO of the National Urban League; and Sharon Percy Rockefeller, president and CEO of WETA.
