Survey by Pew Research Center. Methodology: Conducted by Gfk Knowledge Networks, April 11 – April 29, 2013 and based on 1,197 online interviews. Sample: National gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered adults. The poll was fielded by Gfk Knowledge Networks using its national panel which is randomly selected from the entire national population and subsequently provided Internet access, if needed. Respondents had previously self-identified as gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgendered in their profile survey for the panel and reconfirmed that status for this survey.
