June 9 Forum – Tackling Entitlement Reform: A Comprehensive Plan to Increase Effectiveness and Sustainability

Posted on

Experts warn that Social Security, Medicare, and other entitlement programs face a fiscal crisis if they are not reformed to be more sustainable, but this year’s presidential candidates have given the topic little attention. The American Enterprise Institute (AEI) will host a panel discussion and release a new report recommending ways to make entitlement programs more financially sustainable. Speakers include Andrew Biggs, James Capretta, and Robert Doar, fellows at AEI and authors of the report; Doug Elmendorf, dean of the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University; and Ron Haskins and Alice Rivlin, senior fellows at the Brookings Institution. The event will be held at AEI in Washington, D.C., from 8:30 – 10:30 a.m. EDT. Click here to register.
