January 23 Forum – Poverty, Hunger, Agricultural Policy: Do Farm Programs Affect the Nutrition of Poor Americans?

Posted on

Poor Americans face significant nutritional challenges and food insecurity, and new research indicates that federal farm subsidy programs do little to help. The American Enterprise Institute (AEI) will host a forum to discuss this research and how it could affect future farm bills. Speakers include Joseph Glauber, senior fellow at the International Food Policy Research Institute; Daniel Sumner, professor at the University of California, Davis; and Parke Wilde, associate professor at the Friedman School of Nutrition. The event will be held at AEI in Washington, D.C., from 12-1 p.m. EST. Click here to register.
