Transportation

Transportation is a crucial tool in determining access to opportunity. One study found commuting time to be the strongest predictor of upward mobility. Given the importance of place to outcomes,  adequate transportation to jobs and services is frequently cited as a core priority. Many poverty advocates have also focused on revamping or reimagining the role of public transportation in poverty alleviation.
